Lucy B. LaBauve passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House at the age of 90. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and longtime resident of Destrehan, LA. Lucy enjoyed life but most of all time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Ralph L. LaBauve Sr., her parents, Anna Rita Benfatti and Anthony Joseph Benfatti Sr., and siblings, Louie Benfatti, Anthony Benfatti, Mary Lawless-Bernier, Clara Ritchie, and Anna Rita Williamson.
Loving mother of Ralph L. LaBauve Jr. (Jane), Louise L. Findley (Tony), and Leslie L. Brady (Kevin). Grandmother to Stacey LaBauve, Jason Garrison (Kristie), Jon Garrison (Brooke), Ryan LaBauve, Chris Brady (Emily), and Katie Hicks (Hunter). Great-grandmother to Kelsey, Kallie, Bentley, Braxton, Bristol, Lucy, Austin, Linda, Carmella, Marianna, Brantley, and Brock. She is also survived by her brothers, Johnny Benfatti and Jude Benfatti.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice and St. Joseph Carpenter House for the outstanding care they gave to Lucy during her time there.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Rd, Destrehan, LA. All services will be held in the school gym, as the church is closed for constructions. Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 11 AM with a memorial Mass to begin at 11 AM. Inurnment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
