Elmer Rea Harrison Ingram, 80, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025. A native of Dellwood, FL and a resident of Luling since 1979. Elmer was a beloved Mother, Gran, and friend. A woman of unwavering faith and boundless love, she touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity and strength.
She was happily married to the love of her life, Barney Joe Ingram Sr., for 36 beautiful years until his passing. Their devotion to one another was a testament to enduring love.
Survived by her children, Tracie Madere (James/Jimmy) and Barney Ingram, Jr. (Sandy); Grandchildren, David “Ryan” Strackbein (Nicole), Barney III “Trey”, Chad, and Matthew Ingram; Sisters-in-law, Agnes and Marge Harrison. Preceded in death by her Parents Joseph Carter Harrison and Bertha Powell Harrison; Siblings, Alma Lee Brogdon (John), James Harrison, Joseph Harrison (June), and Roy Harrison; Granddaughter, Brittany Grant; In-Laws, Aire Jeremiah “Jerry” Ingram and Ida Camilla Bryant Ingram.
In her younger years, she found joy in playing golf and softball, embracing life with energy and enthusiasm.
Her presence was magnetic—she had an instant connection with everyone she met, and her love for others was both genuine and abundant. A devoted member of her church, she served faithfully as the head of the hospitality committee, where she ruled with an iron fist and a soft heart. Her leadership was marked by compassion, dedication and a deep desire to serve.
She lived to do for others and in doing so, she left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy is one of kindness, strength and faith—a life lived in service to God and to others.
She will be greatly missed by all and her memory will live on in our hearts forever. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace and resting in the arms of her Savior.
