The Memorial service for Edgar J. Spiess Jr. will be at 11am Saturday, May 11,2024 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation with the family and a reception will be follow the service.
Mr. Spiess, 81, of Prairieville, LA passed away on April 14, 2024 at his home. He was born in New Orleans, LA on June 1, 1042 to Edgar J. Spiess, Sr. and Nola Belle Dufrene.
Mr. Spiess graduated from Nichols State University in 1965. He spent many years teaching and coaching in St. Charles and surrounding parishes before entering the insurance profession.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Martha Jones Spiess; children, Aaron D. Spiess of Raleigh, NC; Susan D. Spiess of Metairie, LA; brother, Russell Spiess (Connie), Sacramento, CA; sister, Mary Bergeron (Joe) Luling, La. Nephew and godson Joey Bergeron (Alana)of Houston, TX and niece, Renee Dempster (Quinn) of Luling, LA. Great niece Olivia Dempster, Luling, LA and great nephew Sven Bergeron, Houston TX.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
