Beverly Ann Borne, a longtime resident of Hahnville, La, entered peacefully into eternal rest on September 8, 2025.
Her 85 years of life were marked by love, laughter, and a devotion to family that touched all who knew her. Beverly was originally from Edgard, La, and was the beloved wife of the late George J. “Papa George” Borne, Jr. She was a loving mother to three children, Rhonda Rogers, George Borne III, and Brenda Jones (Randall Jones), as well as seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren who affectionately refer to her as “Maw Maw Bev”. Beverly was the daughter of the late Etienette J. Steib and Raymond G. Becnel Sr. of Vacherie, La.
She is survived by her sisters Carolyn Millien of Donaldsonville, La, Susanne Zeringue, and Marlene Guillory of Luling, La, and her brother Raymond Becnel Jr. of Denham Springs, La. She was preceded in death by her brothers Terry Becnel, Berris Becnel, and Chris Becnel. Beverly was a long standing member of VFW Post 3750 and the German Coast Farmers Market, where she worked alongside her husband selling their famous hogshead cheese and other delicious foods they loved to cook together. Beverly’s legacy of love will continue to live on through the family she so deeply cherished. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1 Rectory Ln, Hahnville, LA 70057, on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 9:00 am- 11:00 am. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Edgard.
