Inspired by Bridgerton, the book series-turned-Netflix-sensation, A Bridgerton Affair will be held at the St. Rose branch of the St. Charles Parish Library on Saturday, June 29 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Costumes are encouraged—but not required—for all who attend this themed program, Lauren Campo Pitz, assistant director of the St. Charles Parish Library system, said. Anyone in costume can enter into a “Diamond of the Season” costume contest voted on by their fellow attendees.
“There will be refreshments, including a tea blending station where custom blends of tea can be made,” Campo Pitz added. “Patrons can continue to show their creative side at a fascinator station, where there will be supplies to adorn and decorate headbands to fashion their own headpiece.
Campo Pitz said that a photo station will be set up to capture memories from the event, and there will be book recommendations based on the hit book series that inspired the Netflix show.
This program is designed for adults. There is no registration required.
Author Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton series of eight Regency romance novels follows the eight siblings of the noble Bridgerton family as they navigate London’s high society. The series was adapted for a television show, and the library’s Bridgerton Affair coincides with the release of the second part of the third season on Netflix.
