Authorities have recovered the body of a man witnesses say fell from I-10 into the water below, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m. today, the Sheriff’s Office received a report regarding a white male seen on the shoulder of I-10 West near mile post 212. Witnesses provided information that the male possibly took his own life by gunshot before falling into the water, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities have since recovered a body that matches the description provided by witnesses.
