Those who may have missed hit movie Barbie the first time around, or would like to see it for the second, 10th or even 100th time, should head out to the East Regional Library on Friday, June 21.
St. Charles Parish Library staff are welcoming all Barbies, Kens, Allans and Midges to a free showing of the movie that begins at 6 p.m. Barbie, which hit theaters in 2023, was directed by Greta Gerwig and is based on the famous fashion dolls by Mattel. The movie stars Margot Robbie as the title character and Ryan Gosling as Ken. It follows them on a journey of self-discovery through Barbieland and the real world following an existential crisis.
To date, the movie has made nearly $1.5 billion.
Those who attend may bring their own seats and blankets to spread out on. In addition to the movie, the event will feature a photo booth, button and mirror making and refreshments.
No registration is required and the event is for adults. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The East Regional Library is located at 160 West Campus Dr. In Destrehan.
