Former First American Bank building gets new tenant

Clarence West Jr. searched for months. He wanted a new building for his tax and financial business, Infinity Tax & Financial Solutions, now located in Destrehan.

“I knew our growth had outpaced our current office,” West said.

The search wasn’t easy. West wanted plenty of space, the right layout and, most importantly, a location in St. Charles Parish.

“Staying local was a priority for me because I wanted to continue serving the same community that has supported me,” he said.

When West came across the First American Bank building in Norco, he knew he found the perfect fit. The business will move in December to the new location.

Clarence West, Jr., owner of Infinity Tax & Financial Solutions, will move his business from its location in Destrehan to the former First American Bank building in Norco in December.

“It not only gave me the space I envisioned but offered even more opportunities that I expected,” he said. “Norco has always had a special energy. Apple Street is a high-traffic area, which means visibility and accessibility for residents. But more than that, being here allows me to stay rooted in St. Charles Parish — a place that has poured into me and that I want to continue pouring back into.”

The building also gives the business room to grow, West said.

“We already provide tax preparation, credit repair, business loans, business formation, bookkeeping, and payroll,” he said. “With this expanded space, we’ll be able to not only continue those services but also add new resources that make us a true one-stop shop for financial solutions. That means meeting people where they are and helping them move toward financial stability and growth.”

Walking through the doors of the old First American Bank building as a tenant was a surreal experience, West said.

“I never imagined I’d one day be operating a business inside a former bank building,” he said. “It’s a reminder that God’s timing is perfect. It’s proof that with vision, consistency and faith, spaces you once thought were out of reach can become reality.”

West founded Infinity Tax & Financial Solutions in 2020 after he transitioned from working independently as a tax preparer to building a full-service team. He’s been in the parish for over a year.

“The support from this community has been the reason we’re able to expand,” he said. “This new office is not just for us, it’s for you. We want it to be a space people feel proud to walk into, a place where financial help feels approachable and welcoming.”

He said he’s excited about hosting community events, decorating for holidays, and continuing the tradition of giveaways and outreach.

“This location is about more than business – it’s about building community,” he said.

He said the business’s priority is to help people in the community gain control of their finances and build brighter futures.

“Our motto is ‘changing lives one client at a time,’ and that’s more than a tagline – it’s our mission,” West said. “Every client who walks through our doors represents a family, a dream, and an opportunity to make a real impact.”
