KENNER – The River Region Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual meeting and installation gala on Feb. 6 from 6p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hilton New Orleans Airport with special guest speakers Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and the executive direction of the Louisiana Workforce Commission, Tim Barfield.
Individual tickets are $65 per person with platinum, gold, silver and bronze table sponsorships available. Attire is formal/semi-formal. Cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m. with the dinner and awards program following at 7 p.m.

Relay for Life of St. Charles Parish organizers are planning a new feature this year – a printed program outlining all the activities of the all-night event, which is set for 6 p.m. March 28 at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling.
The program will also feature information on the approximately 20 local teams participating in Relay, as well as touching cancer survivor stories and prevention advice.
Companies, sports teams and individuals are being urged to sponsor advertisements in the over 20-page publication, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
Businesses may offer information about their services, and individuals can choose to honor a loved one touched by the disease.
The deadline to reserve ad space is Feb. 4.
