Congratulations are in order for Hahnville High School seniors, Raven Scott and Mindy Gaubert who were named to the All-State Academic team for volleyball. They will be honored at a banquet at the LHSAA convention on Jan. 28 in Baton Rouge. Scott was also named to the All-State volleyball team.

I have felt strongly that former Destrehan High School signal-caller Jordan Jefferson was the best prep quarterback produced from a Louisiana high school since Eli Manning came out of Newman High School in the late 1990s.
