Queen of Hearts pageant, entry deadlines

ST. CHARLES PARISH - The River Parishes Fall Festival Queen of Hearts Pageant will be held on Nov. 13 at the Sacred Heart School Auditorium from noon-6 p.m. The entry fee is $50 including photo for Baby-Jr. Miss divisions. Entry fee for the Miss division is $100 including photo. Teen and Ms. divisions are $75 to enter.

The deadline to enter is Nov. 12 for Baby-Jr. Miss contestants and Nov. 11 at 9 p.m. for Miss, Teen and Ms. contestants. Late door entries will be accepted for the Baby-Jr. Miss contests only with a late fee of $5.
Public admission will be $3 from noon-4 p.m. and $3 at 4:30 p.m.

The Miss Queen of Hearts winner will compete in the LAFF Queen of Queens pageant in February 2011.Read More...

40th Annual River Parishes Fall Festival

NORCO - Sacred Heart of Jesus School in Norco will host the 40th Annual River Parishes Fall Festival on Nov. 12 - 14th at the school on Spruce Street. Rides, bands, games, food and other entertainment will be featured. The 7th Annual Craft Fair will be part of the fesival on Saturday, Nov. 13. Artists and craftsmen are still wanted to fill booths at the fair. Full-size booths and a limited number of half-size booths are available on a first come, first serve basis. Raffle for Drew Brees-Blue Dog print

Organizers of the 2nd Annual Bark at the Bridge Park will be raffling off a silkscreen print of "Drew Brees - Blue Dog" signed by the artist, George Rodrigue. The winning ticket will be drawn on Dec. 4 at the West Bank Bridge Park event in Luling. The event will take place from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Only 1,000 raffle tickets will be sold at $10 each. Tickets can be bought at the St. Charles Animal Shelter, local veterinarians and area merchants. For further information on ticket sales, e-mail mkmpaws@yahoo.com.
