The Ballpark Beauties has become an annual event, which allows Louisiana festival queens to be presented on the field during pre-game at a New Orleans Zephyrs minor league home game.

The St. Charles Hurricanes 12U won the USSSA World Series in Disney World. The girls went undefeated in bracket play. They defeated teams from California, Texas, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey and Delaware.
