Mr. and Mrs. Fred Michael Loupe are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Valerie Anne Loupe, to Dr. Brad James Hymel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Joseph Hymel, formerly of Luling.
The marriage will be celebrated in April 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Darrow.
Miss Loupe, whose mother is the former Vivian Anne Diez, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Issac Andrew Diez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sitmand Joseph Loupe. The bride graduated from Ascension Catholic High School in Donaldsonville and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and her Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She is currently employed as a Medical Social Worker at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary.
Dr. Hymel, whose mother is the former Anita Louise Champagne, is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Antoine Hymel and Mr. and Mrs. James Wallace Champagne. He graduated from Hahnville High School in Boutte. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Master of Physical Therapy from Louisiana Health Science Center in New Orleans and Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana Health Science Center in Shreveport. He is currently in the last year of his anesthesiology residency at LSU in New Orleans.
