Fenced-In Storm - Neema Murimi

Fenced-In Storm
The concept of being bound by our own choices. Of being chained to the bad decisions we've made in the past.

That's what I see when I look at this photo. Self-sabotage, self-inflicted pain, if you will.

In our humanness, at times we will walk into the storm, seeing the lightning and hearing the thunder...but refusing to acknowledge the reality and potential harm of those elements.

We fence ourselves in.

The redemptive part of this ideology will come on a brighter, sunny day on the Spillway. Perhaps a rainbow will touch upon the water by the boat launch. Then I'll capture that...and title it: 'When the Chain is Broken.' For me, that's been Jesus Christ in my life.
