River Parishes Community Development Corp. awards St. Charles Parish Public Schools $15,000 grant

River Parishes Community Development Corp. (RPCDC) awarded St. Charles Parish Public Schools with a $15,000 grant for its Industrial Soft-Craft Training Program.

The funding will enable Apache Industrial Services to partner with the school system and provide high school students with basic technical skills and workplace safety knowledge required for immediate employment in the industrial business sector.

The course provides students with opportunities to visit local manufacturing facilities and the Apache Regional Office and observe how the learned skills are applied in the industrial workplace.

All courses will be taught by Apache Industrial Services employees. RPCDC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established for the purpose of fostering partnerships that improve economic conditions in the River Parishes.
