Tommy Wallach’s We All Looked Up is a fiction novel. Set in Seattle, Washington, in what could be present day, this novel can appeal to all ages.

Peter, Eliza, Andy, and Anita all go to high school together. However, they are not really friends. Their paths cross from time to time, but the labels that they have prevent them from looking farther. That is until the asteroid. An asteroid appears with a 66.6 percent chance of hitting the Earth and killing all life. With only two months left to live, Perter, Eliza, Andy, and Anita are forced to reevaluate their lives. Their paths cross more and more as time runs out, and they wonder what the point of labels really is.

We All Looked Up sounded interesting when I first picked it up, and I was not disappointed. Although it is a book set in a Doomsday setting, it is still filled with hope. Throughout the novel, I was rooting for the characters and hoping that they would survive to truly change their lives. This is a book that I could not put down, and one which I will definitely read again.
