Michele Millet makes sure you’re protected

A longtime resident of St. Charles Parish and an accomplished insurance agent, Michele Millet’s goal is to provide the best protection and service when working with her clients.

This Eagan Insurance Agency associate has been in the business for more than 30 years, mainly specializing in personal insurance, such as automobile, home, umbrella and flood insurance. She also handles commercial insurance as well.

“I work with clients to educate them on their coverage and to make recommendations so that they are adequately protected,” Millet said. “Oftentimes, clients do not know if they have wind coverage or not, much less understand the different deductible options on their policy. I try to eliminate this confusion and assist clients in choosing the best coverage and deductible options for their respective budgets.”

Her goal is to provide clients the service and attention that she would give to a family member.

“When policies are about to expire, I call, e-mail, or text. I am a hands on agent,” Millet said. “I reach out to my clients to avoid potential policy cancellations and counsel them when there are other issues,  like underwriting recommendations.”

Eagan has earned several awards over the years, including recognition nationwide as a top agency.

“We’re a quality agency, and we take a lot of pride in what we do,” Millet said.

Millet is based at Eagan’s LaPlace office, which is one of three in the area, the others located in Covington and Metairie. The connectedness of the offices lends for additional convenience to clients, who can take care of many transactions at any of the three offices, such as signing paperwork.

Other business can be done online and through e-mail, though Millet says her preference is always to meet the client personally.

“As the client’s time is of utmost importance to me, I do have the capability to transact business and get policies bound electronically. My main objective is to assist clients and make their insurance purchase as simple as possible,” she said.

Millet was recently named to the River Region Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, an honor bestowed on the “best of the best” to represent the Chamber at functions and to educate new business members. She also serves as the Chamber’s Ambassador Chairperson.
