In St. Charles Parish Public Schools, days begin with morning meetings. During this time every greets each other, shares interesting facts with peers, discuss what’s going on in class that day and even do fun activities. This is a perfect way to begin a full day of teaching and learning. On Mondays, days start off a little different. Pictured is Monica Chapman’s homeroom at Lakewood Elementary School as they review their Parent Involvement Guides (PIG). These guides help the students and their parents know what is going on in their classes each week. After going over their PIG(S) the students write in their planners what quizzes and tests they will have and even what is going on around school.
