| Major hurdle to West Bank levee is lack of priorities April 12 at 10:10 am Dear Editor, The flood that is sure to eventually happen will devastate St. Charles Parish. It will bring physical damage to the West Bank’s privately owned property as well as public buildings and infrastructure, but the devastation will not stop there. |

FEMA deadline passes with no new flood rates - 614 views
After indicating they would release new flood insurance rates by June 1 to be applied to local homes under the Biggert-Waters Act, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has said the release of that information will now be delayed.
