Summer basketball is here! Hahnville High School will host its annual basketball camp July 7 through 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for ages 4 to 16.

Charlie Jones, a 2008 graduate of Destrehan High School has been named a High School All-American by the The National High School Tennis All-American Foundation. Jones is the first Louisiana player ever to receive this recognition.

Low gas prices offer little relief, residents say - 731 views
The falling price of oil has resulted in low prices at the pump—in some cases, less than half what they were only six months ago. For the average consumer, low prices mean a savings of $750 this year, according to the latest report from the federal Energy Information Association. But for many, the savings are a mixed blessing.
