The St. Charles Parish 8-year-old basketball All-Star team played in the International Biddy Tournament in Thibodaux this week. The team placed second and was awarded the International Biddy AA Runner-Up title.

Hahnville High School’s Wesley Brown, who plays on the school’s varisty baseball team, enjoys his first day off in two weeks with a little rest and relaxation at the New Orleans Arena on March 9 for the VooDoo home game opener where the New Orleans team won 54-53.

The dance team from St. Charles Borromeo School in Destrehan competed in the Worldwide Spirit Association’s Grand National Competition held at the New Orleans Convention Center the weekend of February 23 and 24.

The Destrehan Wildcats boy's basketball team was eliminated from the Class 5A state playoffs after Lafayette's Josh Wiltz hit a jumper as time expired to give his team a 50-48 quarterfinal victory.
