DES ALLEMANDS - The First Assembly of God church in Des Allemands will hold a revival on May 25 through 27 on church grounds located at 16976 U.S. 90.

Services will be on May 25 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and services on May 26 and 27 will be at 7 p.m.

Andre Van Zyl, a minister for 26 years, will preach.

Courthouse stage for Memorial Day gathering

HAHNVILLE - St. Charles Parish will host a Memorial Day ceremony Saturday, 11 a.m. to noon, at the St. Charles Courthouse, 15045 River Road, Hahnville.

Charles Cancienne of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars is organizing the ceremony, which will feature presentation of colors by the Hahnville High School ROTC, a 21-gun salute by the United Veterans League, the playing of taps, and patriotic singing by local resident Penny Matherne.

Community chorus holds free concert

DESTREHAN - The public is invited to attend the spring concert for the Community Chorus of the River Parishes on May 23 at 7 p.m. at the St. Charles Borromeo Church on River Road in Destrehan.

The concert will be inspirational in theme and will be ideal for family entertainment and all those who love music.
The concert is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted. The chorus also performs at no charge for church groups, the Council On Aging, veterans organizations and the parish.

Chorus looking for new members

DESTREHAN - The Community Chorus of River Parishes will hold their spring concert on May 23 at the St. Charles Borromeo Church in Destrehan.

The chorus is looking for new members and is open to all who love to sing. At present, the chorus has members from St. James, St. John and St. Charles parishes and continues to grow in number.

Theater closes season with London play

KENNER - The Rivertown Repertory Theatre closes the season with the Gulf South premier of the London hit musical comedy By Jeeves May 16 through June 1.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees start at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets prices are $25 for adults, $22 for students between the ages of 13 and 21 and seniors aged 55 and up, and $12 for children between 5 and 12.

An optional pre-performance buffet served by Messinaís is also available for $20 for adults and $12 for children. Reservations are required for the buffet. Group rates are also available.

River Region Ballet holds auditions
