As the 6-5A district leading Hahnville softball team huddled in shallow left field after a 7-0 shutout against Higgins Saturday, head coach Kenneth Vial stressed the importance of wanting to win each game.

With temperatures reaching the mid 70s, area lake waters have marine activity on the rise. Crawfish begin to migrate out of their deep mud holes into shallow waters to spawn. Crabs also start to move to shallow water to do the same.

The St Charles Pride soccer team won the "Tabasco Shootout" in New Iberia on Sunday March 1. The Pride dominated the Championship game 11-1.

VICTORY. Hahnville High School’s boys basketball team defeated Airline 62-58 on Feb. 27 and followed the win with a 71-70 victory over Westgate on March 3. The team now moves onto the quarterfinals, hosting East Ascension on Friday, March 6 at home.  Hahnville offense keeps team alive in the playoffs
