Luling’s Tyler Hebert swept most of the competition when he placed third in the 2000-meter steeplechase track event at the AAU National Championships for Track and Field June 29 through July 4 in Orlando, Fla.

The 21st Annual Spillway Classic Trail Run saw a record turn out of just under 1500 participants and a new course record for the womens' division on July 20 at the Bonnet Carre Spillway in Norco.
