Cajun Dancers performing at Farmers Market

LULING – The Allemands Elementary Cajun Dancers will be sharing a part of their Cajun heritage as they perform at 10 a.m. Saturday at the German Coast Farmers Market. This traveling group of second graders perform authentic Cajun dances, handed down from the Acadians of the 18th century.  The Farmers Market is open every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until noon at Ormond Plantation in Destrehan and every Wednesday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Winnwood Shopping Center on Paul Maillard Road in Luling.  For more information, visit to www.germancoastfarmersmarket.org or follow them on Facebook.Read More...

NORCO – The River Region Drama Guild is holding auditions for Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific with Lauren E. Michon as director, Karl Harrod as musical director and Heidi Adams as choreographer. Actors must be at least 15 years old for auditions, which will be held at the River Region Performing Arts and Cultural Center (RRPACC), 15146 River Road, Norco on Jan. 15. Free Children’s Theatre Workshop

NORCO – The River Region Drama Guild is offering students 8 to 15 years old the opportunity to learn acting skills and the chance to participate in a play. The four Theatre Workshops will be held Jan. 7 - 28 at the River Region Performing Arts and Cultural Center (RRPACC), 15146 River Road, Norco.
