Sheriff Greg Champagne reports that crime in St. Charles Parish rose 4.7% in 2006. The total number of crimes rose from 2,180 in 2005 to 2,283 in 2006.

I encourage property owners to write the governor, the tax commissioner and the state legislature to ask for tax relief.”
