Rotary club holds annual golf match

LULING - The Rotary Club of St. Charles will hold its annual Alligator Classic golf tournament Sept. 12 at Willowdale Country Club in Luling.

Proceeds will benefit the club's college scholarship fund for local students.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon.

The format is a four-person scramble. Lunch will be served.
The entry fee is $90 per golfer and covers food and drinks, green fees, an Alligator Festival shirt, towel and ditty bag.

Prizes will be awarded for first-, second-, and third-place finishes as well as closest to the hole and longest drive.
Hole sponsorship is needed.

Ballet auditions for the Nutcracker

NORCO - The River Region Ballet will hold auditions for this year’s performance of the Nutcracker on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the River Region Performing Arts and Cultural Center located at 15146 River Road in Norco.

Auditions for acting roles boys and girls ages 7 to 10 is scheduled fro 2 p.m. There is an audition fee of $10.

All dancers must sign 30 minutes prior to audition time.
Intermediate and advanced dancers who are interested in becoming a member of the ballet’s company or junior company may call the artistic director to schedule auditions.

Junior company members must be 10 years old before Dec. 31 and dance at an intermediate level. Company members must be 13 years old and female dancers must dance on pointe at an intermediate or advanced level.
