BOUTTE - The Hahnville High School Library celebrated Teen Read Week during the week of October 15 -19. Students participated in trivia questions, book giveaways, treat jar guessing, a Barnes & Noble gift card drawing and a Coffee House Night.

Mimosa Park Elementary students celebrated the spooky days leading up to Halloween with the school’s annual Octoberfest which featured a super frighting haunted house staged in the cafeteria and put on by Hahnville High School students.

An ordinance prohibiting video bingo in St. Charles Parish will force the owners of Luling Video Bingo Palace, a hall that opened on Oct. 29, to remove all of its bingo machines if the council passes the proposal at their Nov. 5 meeting.
