‘Down Home’ to perform at dance

DES ALLEMANDS - St. Gertrude Catholic Church will hold its monthly dance on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Father Mac Community Center in Des Allemands.
Music provided by “Down Home.” Tickets are $15 per couple.

Free Crapemyrtles to parish residents

St. Charles Parish receive five free crapemyrtle trees for becoming a member of the Arbor Day Foundation in January.

The trees will be shipped postpaid at the right time for planting between Feb. 1 and April 30 with enclosed planting instructions. The six to twelve inch trees are guaranteed to grow, or they will be replaced free of charge.

To receive the free trees, send a $10 membership contribution to Five Crapemyrtles, Arbor Day Foundation, 100 Arbor Ave., Nebraska City, NE 68410 by Jan. 31.Read More...
