Masquerade ball Feb. 6 in Ormond

DESTREHAN - The community is invited to enjoy an enchanting winter-themed evening of dancing to music by DJ Justin Freitag as the Mexico Missions team at St. Charles United Methodist Church hosts their second annual Masquerade ball on Friday, Feb. 6 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall located at 1905 Ormond Blvd.

Tickets are $10 and are available by contacting Heidi Schindler at 985-764-8386.

Proceeds fund the Mexico mission trips and other Mexico missions which include sending medical and dental information and supplies as well as books, school supplies and basic health care items.

I wonder how many people realize that solid waste (garbage) disposal is a public service just as water, electricity, phone, gas etc. The problem is we are not charged for the amount of waste we want disposed of. All residents of St. Charles Parish pay $17.31 a month for this service even if you leave home for two months. Read More...
