Art Guild hosting watercolor workshop

Take a swing for a cure for cancer

ST. CHARLES PARISH - Take a swing for a cure at the 2nd Annual Monsanto Relay for Life Golf Tournament on Sunday, June 6 at TPC Louisiana.

Registration will be from 12:30-1:45 p.m. and tee time will be a shotgun start at 2 p.m.

The tournament will be a four-person scramble. Proper golf attire is required and no metal spikes are allowed.

Entry fees are $125 per player ($500 per team) and include lunch, beer, soda and a prize pack with a polo shirt.

Entries must be in no later than May 5. Mulligans available at the time of registration.

All proceeds will go to the Monsanto 2010 Relay for Life Campaign.

Pubic range days coming up soon

ST. CHARLES PARISH - The St. Charles Sheriff’s Office will allow the public to use the St. Charles Firing Range to shoot handguns only. Anyone wishing to use the range will be required to attend a 30-minute safety briefing, which will be held at the range from 8 a.m. to noon on:
June 5 and 19.

The public range hours on those days will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and noon to 4 p.m.

All participants are required to bring proper ID and their own targets, safety glasses, hearing protection, baseball cap, staple gun and staples. All weapons must be transported to the range in a suitable device, such as a gun box or holster. No weapons can be brought to the range loaded and weapons must be left in the vehicle during the safety briefing and until all required paperwork is completed. No one under 18 years old will be allowed to fire weapons at the range.
