Ladies’ fall Bible study is back

LULING - A seven-week ladies’ fall Bible study will take place from Aug. 30-Oct. 13. Sessions will be held on Mondays from 7-9 p.m. or Wednesday 9:30-11:30 p.m.

The group will focus on “Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed” - a study of David. The classes will meet at the Bible Center Church, 422 Barton Ave. in Luling. The cost is $16.30 for a workbook. Library offers photography workshop

DESTREHAN - Charles Bush, a freelance photographer who specializes in nature and wildlife photography in southern Louisiana, will present a day-long basic digital photography workshop on Saturday, August 28. The workshop will run from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. The workshop will cover what to consider when buying a digital camera and how to best use the camera for the pictures you want to take.

Because the class will be somewhat hands-on, attendance is limited to 15 participants. Please call the staff at the East Regional Library at 985-764-2366 to register.

Humane Society to hold yard sale

LULING - The St. Charles Humane Society and Animal Control will hold a yard sale on August 28 from 8 a.m. to noon. All proceeds will go to the animals at the parish shelter. Yard sale organizers are currently seeking donations, including but not limited to furniture, clothing, baby items, shoes and electronics. Donations will be accepted until August 27 at the St. Charles Animal Control office, 13875 Feret St. in Luling.
