ST. CHARLES PARISH - Teens interested in art, drawing and comic books of all kinds are invited to attend a free comic book making workshop on Thursday, June 11 at the West Regional Library at 10:30 a.m. or at the St. Rose Library at 2 p.m.

Rob Guillory, a comic book artist from Lafayette will lead the workshops.

Norco food incubator gets cooking

The parish’s first commercial kitchen and food production incubator, Edible Enterprises, is now open for business.
The facility was scheduled to open its doors in Norco in mid-May, but that opening date was pushed back until June due to some minor building repairs. The repairs were completed early this week and now the stage is set for Edible Enterprises to get cooking.Read More...

On Tuesday May 19, Destrehan High School held their Baccalaureate ceremony in the auditorium on campus. The word Baccalaureate is defined as a religious message addressed to a graduating class before commencement day. Faculty, students, and parents put a lot of work into this event and it was a nice celebration. The Benefit Golf Tournament for Chad Grosch will take place Saturday, Aug. 20 at Fashion Golf and Country Club in Hahnville, with all proceeds going toward the medical expenses of the 10-year-old Grosch, who is in recovery after undergoing stem cell transplant surgery April 27.
