It’s that time of year again, a time for hot dogs, peanuts, and baseball. Friday night was the home opener for the New Orleans Zephyrs, and this month is the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Shrine on Airline. With such glorious weather, how could I not attend?

Complaints to my office from citizens and parish officials continue to rise relative to the unlawful operations of motorized All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) such as four wheelers, dirt bikes and golf carts on public roads and on private property without permission of the landowners.

U.S. Sen. David Vitter announced that the Department of Interior will allocate $3.1 million in federal funding for St. Charles Parish through the Coastal Impact Assistance Program that became law with the passage of the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

But 10 facilities in St. Charles Parish meet new high standards recommended by the state, placing them among the best of the best.

Season update: On Tuesday, April 3, the Tigers played against Vanderbilt High. In the 6th inning the Tigers 10-run ruled the team and the Tigers went 10 for 12 up at bat. Tigers were unstoppable during the game.
