Submitted by Jennifer Meyers-Lind

NEW SARPY - Ms. O'Rourke's first graders (right)and Ms. Miller's third graders at New Sarpy Elementary School have been working together to develop knowledge of our neighboring country, Japan.

With the help of Kuniyo Schmidt, a first grader's mother, who is from Japan, the students learned first hand about the country as they made origami, ate Japanese food, and shared in the learning of Japanese language and games.
