LULING - The Bible Center Church will hold its annual Vacation Bible School on July 13 through 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the church located at 422 Barton Ave. in Luling.

The theme for this year’s event is “Crocodile Dock” and is open to kids ages 5 to 12 who have completed the fifth grade. Songs, games, snacks, Bible adventures and much more are scheduled for the event.

Art guild kids’ camp July 13

LULING - The St. Charles Art Guild will hold its 15th summer Kids’ Visual Arts Camp July 13 through 17 from 9 a.m. to noon at the First Presbyterian Church on Lakewood Dr. for primary grade students who have completed first, second or third grades.

Area artists and guild volunteers, including Mississippi River clay artist Lorraine Gendron will present art fundamentals while other students explore techniques with artistic quality media including clay, watercolor, oil pastels, tissue paper and papier mache’.

A showcase featuring a matted work from each student will be displayed at the East Bank Regional Library for the following two weeks and at the West Bank Regional Library for the next two weeks.

Campers cost is $35. Contact camp director Mary Sue Carter

Sign up for theater workshop

NORCO - The River Region Drama Guild will hold its “Free Youth Theater Workshop” on July 13 through 16 and July 20 through 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the River Region Performing Arts and Cultural Center located at 15146 River Road in Norco.

The workshop is open to students 10 to 18 years old and will teach them acting skills and the chance to participate in a play. The final evening will be a public performance demonstrating the skills learned in the workshop.
