HHS presents new morality play

HAHNVILLE - “What if you died tomorrow?” That is the question Hahnville High School Talented Theatre students are eager to ask in their upcoming production of “EveryOne,” a new work adapted from the Medieval Catholic morality play, “Everyman,” that also includes exciting original work by the students. Performances are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, March 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. in the Hahnville High Auditorium.

Night at Hive to benefit Muscular Dystrophy assoc.

NEW ORLEANS - On March 22, the New Orleans Arena and New Orleans Hornets will host a special night at the Hive in order to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Greater New Orleans. Proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the association to help fund research grants at LSU, the LSU Healthcare MDA Clinic and the Children’s Hospital Neuromuscular Clinic of New Orleans. The money will also help to send about 60 southeast Louisiana children with muscle-wasting diseased to accessible MDA summer camp.

Women’s Club teacup auction

KENNER - The St. Charles Women’s club will be hosting it’s annual major fundraiser, the Teacup Auction on Saturday, March 20.

The event will be held at Chateau Country Club in Kenner at 10:30 a.m., tickets are $40, which includes lunch and six bidding tickets.

The money raised is used to help many non-profit organizations along with College and Vo-Tech scholarships to high school graduates of St. Charles Parish.
