Rumors are flying that St. Charles Parish Superintendent of schools Dr. Rodney Lafon, (right), is retiring from that position so he can run for the office of parish president to replace Albert Laque when his term expires later this year.

REEL NEWS: Fishing rodeo at Spillway Park
The St. Charles Parish Council on Aging's Annual Fishing Rodeo is scheduled for Friday, March 30 at the Spillway Park Pavilion in Norco from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for all residents over 60.

A very dear friend of mine had a bike accident right before my eyes recently, and ended up having a few big and deep cuts around one of her eyes. Her husband and I rushed her to the emergency room, certain she would need a few good stitches.
