Sheriff’s summer camp accepting applications
HAHNVILLE - The St. Charles Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications from boys between the ages 12 to 16 who are willing to attend its ninth annual “Operation First Class Sheriff’s Camp” from July 22 to 27 and is free of charge.

Louisiana State Police investigated an early morning four-vehicle crash on Hwy. 90 at the St. Charles Parish line that claimed the lives of two people, one from Des Allemands. Two other people, both from Luling, were injured.

It’s refreshing to see two former presidents, Bill Clinton and H. W. Bush, work side by side to benefit humanity.
Together, they raised millions of dollars to benefit victims of the tsunami in the Indian Ocean and Hurricane Katrina. In the process, they said nice things about each other, even though they were from opposing parties.
