Pass along favorite plants to neighbors

DESTREHAN - A “Pass Along” plant exchange will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16, at the East Bank location of the German Coast Farmers’ Market at Ormond Plantation. All are invited to participate by bringing a well-established healthy specimen in a one-half gallon or larger container. Each person will be allowed one entry. The botanical or pet name of the plant should be included with simple instructions for care. Get fit with annual fall festival

BOUTTE - The Fitness Club will host its second annual Rocktober Fitness Festival on Oct. 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the club at 1311 Hwy. 90 in Boutte. It will be a morning packed with fitness classes and the conclusion of the club’s Boutte’s Biggest Loser $3,000 give away.

The circus is in town
