The St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office is on the hunt for Metairie resident Nicholas P. Banta, who is suspected of committing a series of business burglaries between May 31 and July 22.

Cataouche fishing isn’t backing down. On Sunday, part-time fishing guide Michael Becnel took friends Lauren Lemmon (top) and Adam Lorio fishing on Lake Cataouche to catch these slab-sized crappie. “I’ve never seen action like this -- ever!” said Becnel who lives in Luling and works for Dow Chemical. Becnel has fished the St. Charles Parish lake all his life but has never caught fish like this in the brackish-water lake.
