Library offers free computer classes

ST. CHARLES PARISH - St. Charles Parish Library is offering free computer classes in May. The new East Regional Library is now open, including a computer lab.

Classes will be offered at three locations listed below:
St. Rose Library in St. Rose, the West Regional Library in Luling and the East Regional Library in Destrehan.

All classes are single two hour classes, not continuing courses. It is necessary to register for each class you wish to attend, but you may register for all available classes at the same time. Call any St. Charles Parish Library or visit their Web site www.stcharles.lib.la.us to register.

The schedule changes monthly. Below is the August schedule.

•Basic Computer Skills – Windows Vista
Monday, August 2, 5:30-7:30 p.m. – St. Rose
Wednesday, August 4, 2-4 p.m. – East Regional
Friday, August 6, 10 a.m.-noon – West Regional

Support Who Dats kids’ baseball team

LULING - The Who Dats kids’ baseball team will hold a dance at the VFW Hall in Luling on Friday, July 30 from 7-11 p.m. The dance is for kids ages 9-13 and entry is $10. A slice of pizza and a soft drink are included in the price.

All proceeds will benefit the team and go towards travel expenses and new uniforms and equipment.

Parents are welcome to stay at the dance, but chaperones will be present and all kids have to be signed in and out.
