Dow to move boilers

Two huge package steam boilers, weighing more than 160 tons each, are scheduled to be moved from Hahnville to the Dow St. Charles Operations site on Wednesday, May 24. Some of the roads in the area will be temporarily closed by St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Deputies while two 80-foot long transporters move the boilers.

Fourth, fifth and sixth grade students showcased their science knowledge at a special Science Night held recently, at Lakewood Elementary. Science Night is part of an innovative program, "Putting Students in the Driver's Seat: An exploration of Motion and Force," that was awarded $1,960 by Dow's Educational Enhancement Grant last year.
