2nd Annual Special Olympics camp open

ST. CHARLES PARISH - St. Charles Parks and Recreation will host the 2nd Annual Special Olympicsí Camp Shriver. The goal is to provide another level of challenge for athletes with disabilities and promote equality and inclusion. The camp will be social as well as athletic, and campers come from public and private schools, volunteer agencies, and the local community.

The camp will be held at Ethel Schoeffner Elementary School, 140 Plantation Road in Destrehan from June 29 to July 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Target sports are bocce, soccer,softball/t-Ball, tennis, and volleyball.

Volunteers are needed - please call (985)783-5090 to sign up.

Registration forms can be found online at www.stcharlesparish-la.gov under Parks and Recreation.
