Get educated to hunt

HAHNVILLE - The St. Charles Sheriff’s Office will offer a Hunter Education Field Day Class on Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 5-9 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Firing Range behind the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility.

The class is for those individuals who have completed the online course with a score of 70 percent or higher.

Experience hell on Earth with church

The First Assembly of God Church located at 16976 Hwy. 90 in Des Allemands is hosting a haunted “Hell House” Friday/Saturday Oct. 22 and 23 and Friday/Saturday Oct. 29 and 30 at 7 p.m.

Admission is $3 per person, but no one will be denied access if they don’t have money, and the first 500 attendees will be free of charge. The “Hell House” features re-inacted scenes from abortion, suicide, domestic violence, party scene and the scene of an accident. It is highly graphic and only children 12 and over and adults are recommended for viewing.
