Life Church offers free 10-week Spring Alpha Course

Have you ever felt that God was mad at you? Wrong decisions, mistakes… God loves you through life’s ups and downs, and wants you to know that. Come join us as we reveal the truth of God’s heart toward you. The Spring Alpha Course at Life Church begins with a Friendship Dinner at 6:30 p.m. March 9. The 10-week course is free. It includes dinner, a talk and small group discussions exploring the true meaning of life. The Alpha Youth Series is being offered at the same time, and free childcare is provided for the little ones. The children will be fed as well. Alpha Daughters of Zion fundraiser gala

Alpha Daughters of Zion Organization is hosting its annual domestic violence fundraiser gala on March 5 at the Jerusalem Shriners, 1940 Ormond Blvd., Destrehan, from 6 -9 p.m. Tickets are $30, a group table for 8 is $240 and can be paid at the door. The public is invited. Miss Louisiana USA Candice Bennatt, an advocate for domestic violence, will be keynote speaker. Singer Charmaine Neville will share how she triumphed over adversities. Alpha Daughters of Zion provides shelter, counseling, food and referrals to women and children of domestic violence abuse in St. Charles Parish and throughout the River Parishes. St. Charles Parish – The upcoming March 5th Presidential Preference Primary is a closed party primary by the choice of the Democrat and Republican parties in Louisiana. That means that only Democrats will vote for candidates on the Democratic Party Ballot and only Republicans will vote for Republican candidates on the Republican Party Ballot. ARC annual festival

LULING – The ARC of St. Charles will hold its 15th Annual Arc Fest Feb. 26 - 28 at West Bank Bridge Park in Luling. The festival will be held in conjunction with the St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation’s annual kickoff baseball tournament. The festival will be held on Friday from 5 - 9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The ARC of St. Charles is also seeking volunteers to assist with this event.
