Fish fry being held Friday

BOUTTE – The MIR Group Fundraiser will hold a fish fry 10:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday to support a youth pilgrimage to Medjugorje and Poland. The plate will include fried fish, parsley potatoes, coleslaw and dessert. Large orders (five or more) can be delivered. Smaller orders can be picked up at O’Reillys, a community partner. Summer camp staff applications being taken

St. Charles Parish – The St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications for summer camp staff until 4 p.m. March 31. Interviews will be scheduled for early April and all applicants will be notified via phone or email with the date and time of their interview. Applications can be obtained from the main office in the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center at 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling. Destrehan – Destrehan Plantation, Irish Cultural Museum of New Orleans and St. Charles Parish East Regional Library are holding a lecture series addressing history that has been overlooked in the classroom humanities. Beyond The History Books is open to the public and free of charge. Hahnville will host Walker today at 4 p.m. in the Tigers' annual "pink game" to promote breast cancer awareness. Hahnville will be selling baked goods at the game and proceeds will benefit cancer research. Both teams will wear pink for the game to promote breast cancer awareness.
