Thanks for great coverage of death

To the editor:

Thanks for that great coverage of the death (murder) of my cousin and outstanding citizen Mrs. Hilda Zeringue Warren of St. Rose. The photos were truly an outstanding way to honor her even though she died an uneccessary and senseless death! My hat is off to Shonna Riggs who showed compassion as she covered the story as horrendous as it was. She is to be commended along with the rest of the staff as a whole for a fine job that you normally do always. I think that I can say on behalf of myself, the family and the rest of the community - - thank you, Herald Guide, for a job well done.

Are tattoos and body piercings moral?

By Father Peter Joseph

Many upright people are repelled by modern fads and fashions, such as tattooing, multiple earrings and other body piercing, but feel unequipped to give a clear judgment on the morality of such practices, or to rebut the charge that they are elevating their personal preferences into a moral code.
