Mr. Peanut collecting for the Food Bank

St. Charles Parish – St. Charles Parish Hospital is again sponsoring the Peanut Butter collection at this year’s krewes of Lul and Des Allemands parades. All jars of peanut butter collected will be donated to the St. Charles Parish Social Concerns to help stock food pantries. DESTREHAN – Due to inclement weather, the Allemands Elementary Cajun Dancers perform at the German Coast Farmers Market at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 11 instead of Jan. 21. AFSP’s Night of Laughter fundraiser

DESTREHAN – The Assistance for Single Parents organization’s Night of Laughter fundraiser will be held 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at the Jerusalem Shriners, 1940 Ormond Blvd., Destrehan. The comedy show will include live adult comedians, a male beauty pageant, dinner and soft drinks, a silent auction, music and a photo booth.
