Crabbers have continued to have phenomenal success fishing from the shoreline at the Bonnet Carré Spillway.

The 14U Louisiana Hurricanes finished as co-champions of the USFA World Series, which was held in Florida. Eighty of the best 14U softball teams in the country participated in the tourney. After fighting their way through six games in a single day, the 14U Louisiana Hurricanes topped 76 other teams from across the country to finish as co-champions of the USFA World Series.
