| ROBERT October 12, 2007 at 3:41 pm Ralph Joseph Robert, Sr., a native of Luling, died Friday, Oct. 12 after his difficult battle with lung cancer. Ralph left this Earth peacefully around 11:15 p.m. surrounded by his immediate family. Ralph, born Dec. 8, 1942, was a devoted husband, loving father, veteran of the United States Army and an avid hunter. He was 64. Ralph is survived by his beloved wife Nellie Zeringue Robert, son Ralph J. Robert and wife Jill, daughter Inga Robert Comardelle and husband Keith, and one grandson, Colby John Robert. His brother Lawrence Robert Jr. and wife Johnna and his sister Elaine Robert St. Pierre and husband Jack, in addition to many nieces and nephews, also survive him. He is preceded in death by his father Lawrence F. Robert Sr. and his mother Eunice Gaubert Robert. A celebration of his life will be held for all family and friends at his home in Luling on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. |

| Dejean October 11, 2007 at 3:40 pm Percy "Toot" G. DeJean Jr., 53, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Lake Charles, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Parr DeJean; one daughter, Tanya D. Curtis; four brothers, Greg, Bobby, Richard and Mark DeJean; one sister, Lorraine Faucheux; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Percy DeJean Sr. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |

Visitation and religious service was held on Friday, Sept. 21 at Holy Family Church in Luling. Burial was held at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale. Survived by two sons, David and wife Jan of Boutte, and William and wife Paula Foreman of Houma; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband Henson Foreman; parents Maurice and Eldia Broussard Simon; sister Euna Arceneaux. Hazel was a perishoner of Holy Family Church. |
