Women's Club Scholarship deadline

LULING – The St. Charles Women’s Club is offering scholarships to residents graduating high school. The scholarships will be awarded to students continuing their education in either a four-year program, two-year program, technical or vocational schools. Scholarship applications are available at Destrehan, Hahnville and St. Charles Catholic High Schools. St. John Theatre holding auditions

Reserve – St. John Theatre will present “Broadway on da Bayou,” a Broadway style variety show.  Auditions will take place between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the theater in Reserve.  Callbacks will be held on 6:30 p.m. Jan 31. Directors Alina Casero and Kate Kuen will hear all auditioners who appear. Auditioners should prepare a song, scene, skit, monologue, dance, rap, or reading with a Broadway theme although all acts will be considered.  Selections should be no longer than four minutes. Show dates are March 3, 4 and 5. LULING – The Krewe of Lul is scheduled to roll at noon Feb. 6. Meeting dates and entry fees have also been announced. Meeting dates are: Jan. 6 , 13, Jan. 20 (final date for registration and payment), Feb. 3 (mandatory attendance, line-up will be distributed), and Feb. 6 (Parade line-up at 9 a.m.). All meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Ramada Limited, 13889 River Road in Luling.
