Dorothy "Dot" Durapau, 80, passed away on Dec. 4, 2011 at her home. She was a native of Hahnville and a resident of New Sarpy for the past 60 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Richard "Black" Durapau Sr., three daughters: Donna Benoit (Jerry), Debby Durapau (Issac New) and Lisa Durapau (Manuel Bautista); two sons, Richard "Rap" Durapau Jr. (Danelle) and Dennis Durapau Sr. (Sheila), brothers, Gerald Nicholas (Shirley) and Roy Nicholas (Norma), sister, Minnie Verdun (Jack), 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Nicholas and Phelonise Friloux, siblings, Sidney Nicholas, Erna May Keller, Vivian Verdin and Earl Nicholas; granddaughter, Kassie Lynn Federer, and great-granddaughter, Samantha Kaye Benoit.

Gary Louis Zeringue departed this life on Dec. 5, 2011 in Luling after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Louis and Marian Champagne Zeringue, and his sister, Jeanne Hand. He was the beloved husband of Pamela Friloux Zeringue, brother and brother-in-law of Sylvia Gaubert (Jimmy), Gerald Zeringue (Susi), Angela Friloux (Kevin), Donnie Friloux (Laura) and Paulette Friloux; uncle of Stephanie Boudreaux (Garry), Maria Baudouin (Darrell), David Gaubert (Wanda), Jessica Messia de Pradia, Cayce Hotard (Kyle), Jarrod Friloux (Kim), Adrienne Luke (Brandon), Blake Friloux (Ashley), Gerard Zeringue (Jenna), Geremy Zeringue, Nicholas Friloux (Carmen), Amy Loupe (Taylor) and Kimberly Dunn; great-uncle of Lauren Haines (Adam), Andreí, Reneí, Ryan and Erin Baudouin, Sidney and Logan Hotard, Kevin Friloux, Zoe and Mia Luke, Ava Zeringue, Bailey Friloux, Nino Messia de Pradia, Nicole Friloux, T.J. and Mithcelle Loupe and Noah Thompson; and great-great-uncle of Addison and Avery Haines.

Henry Joseph Robertson, 83, departed this earthly life on Nov. 9, 2011, at Marrero Healthcare Center in Marrero. He was born in St. Rose and a native of Shrewsbury. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. Robertson Sr. and Florine Nelson Robertson, one brother, Willie J. Robertson Jr., two sisters, Margaret Johnson and Olivia Robertson, and one brother-in-law, Hensey Johnson. He is survived by one sister-in-law, Hedda T. Robertson, three nieces: Phillis R. Magee, Patricia A. Robertson, and Hedda R. Frank; and three nephews: Julius Robertson and Darryl Robertson of Phoenix, Ariz. and Kevin Robertson. Henry is also survived by seven great-nieces, four great-great- nieces, 10 great-great-nephews, and one great-great-great-niece.

She was the daughter of the late Louise Dorsey and Solomon Sumler, mother of Sylvia Johnson, and sister of Edwina Marsh, Louise Rogers, Alfred and Alvin Sumler, Lawerence Gibson, the late Mary Sumler, Martha Harris, Solomon Sumler Jr. and Isaac Sumler. She is also survived by two grandsons, one great-granddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a native of Des Allemands and resident of Luling.
